Grimm Sleeper trial is still on hold?

The Grimm Sleeper, a suspected serial killer from California is still behind bars on 10 counts of murder and one count of attempted murder as the trial is still pending. After being captured in 2010, it seems logical that they would fast track this case to trial, however, we re nearing the end of 2014 and we have yet to see this man step foot inside of a trial court room, even after a movie had already been made about him, showing his guilt. Will The Grimm Sleeper ever be convicted, and are they just waiting on more victims to be found or come forward?
